Dealing With Plant Upsets
In a low food/microorganism ( F/m ratio) environment, opportunistic microbes can take over, creating bulking and foaming issues. A toxic influent ( high COD/ BOD, high/low pH) wipe out most, or all, of the microbes in a plant. This is often beyond the control of the facility’s operators. As a counter-measure, our microbes can be stored indefinitely and applied as an inoculation to revive a dead or dying plant.
